WHAT IS BANK ON?
Bank On Northwest Louisiana (BONWLA), formerly Bank On Shreveport, is an initiative created by the City of Shreveport and a financial stability program of United Way of Northwest Louisiana to help the unbanked and under-banked residents of Northwest Louisiana achieve and maintain financial stability. The purpose is to break down the barriers of banking and create an easier pathway for residents to enter the financial mainstream. To promote financial stability, BONWLA offers safe and affordable checking accounts and a host of resources to expand access to free financial education classes and one-on-one counseling throughout the region.
